DVD Review: Dont Rent, Buy!

I had ordered this movie on Blockbuster Online quite sometime ago and forgotten about it. It finnally showed up yesterday and of course I watched it........ then promptly logged on to Amazon.com and bought it as well as the CD (Sound track!)
For pure entertainment this is a FUN! film that I will watch many times over.
As to the music, I usually really like one or two of the musical numbers, like 2~3 and oh -hum on the rest....In this film they are all good!
There is another similar film staring SRK, that has a a bit darker theme to it, involing identical persons, that is a decent film, but not as fun as Duplicate!
Oh yeah, keep your eyes open for Kajol. According to the end credits, she is in this film somewhere (although I did not realize that till I saw her name in the credits.) So I have to go watch again just to find her..oh well :) !

I loved this movie. It was cheesy, cliched, but it was hilariously fun. Shahrukh Khan really made this movie great.
The song and dance numbers were simply awesome. In the kitchen singing and dancing while cooking? And Bablu being chased by Manu's girlfriend while Manu puts the moves on Bablu's girlfriend? Simply hilarious.
If that wasn't enough, seeing Shahrukh Khan dancing in drag completes it.

I just love Shahrukh Khan!!!! He is the best actor. Duplicate is a very good movie-it has everything,action, some comedy, drama, romance. Shahrukh Khan plays a great reporter that has a rivalry woman reporter who eventually become close. The assignment they both have-they work for different news companies- has to do with politics and the execution of a man that may be innocent, Very good movie,I would recommend this movie to anyone.
Description of Duplicate
Starring: SHAHRUKH KHAN, JUHI CHAWLA, SONALI BENDRE Synopsis: Duplicate is essentially a movie about two men, one good and one bad but who coincidentally have the same face.Babloo (Shahrukh Khan) is basically a daydreamer and aspires to a chef on international repute. He is forever daydreaming of cooking at 5 star establishments. Manu Dada (Shahrukh Khan) on the other hand is a ruthless criminal on the run. Babloo is in love with Sonia (Juhi Chawla) who is the Banquet Manager of an upscale hotel. She is always a part of his dreams. He wishes to take her abroad and settle down. Manu romances with a cabaret dancer Lilly (Sonali Bendre). Babloo and Manu's tracks keep alternating till they converge at the interval point of the film. After which Manu takes advantage of the innocent Babloo and continues his violent escapades using Babloo's identity. Babloo eventually retaliates and seeks revenge. Will Babloo defeat Manu?
