DVD Review: My son's favorite Dragon Tales
Summary: 5 Stars

This is my son's favorite Dragon Tales video. He asks for them by name-- I like the stories; they are sweet and always have a nice moral message without being preachy. All the stories are good, and the best one is where ORD loses his "lucky stone" and all the kids go out to find it in a submarine.

My son's favorite character is Weezy.

A good video series for kids.

My 4-year-old likes the fantasy and make-believe elements in Dragon Tales - the story of a pair of siblings who go off into a fantasy world inhabited by dragons appeals to her as she likes making up stories and playing make-believe. The bonus is that the language is clean and each episode has a positive message such as the importance of sharing, playing fair, being responsible, not hitting, not lying, jealousy and how to deal with it etc.

In "Believe in Yourself", there are 5 episodes:
"Head Over Heels"
"The Balancing Act"
"Just For Laughs"
"Lucky Stone"
"On Thin Ice"

There aren't any bonus features, and the DVD's running time is about 63 mins.

Description of Dragon Tales - Believe in Yourself

"LUCKY STONE" Ord has lost his heart-shaped stone that brings him good luck when he does his flying tricks. How will he perform without it? The group splits up to find it and once they do Ord places it safely in his pouch. As he is performing the stone falls to the ground. Ord doesn't notice and continues performing flawlessly. Ord learns that he doesn't need a lucky stone after all. All he has to do is believe in himself! "HEAD OVER HEELS" Quetzals' brother Fernando is sick and Quetzal asks the gang to take him a delicious bowl of gazpacho. However they must pass Trumpy the trollbooth troll and each do one cartwheel to cross the bridge. Emmy doesn't know how to do a cartwheel. With the help of her friends she learns well enough to cross the bridge and they deliver the soup. On the way back the gang learns something surprising about Trumpy! "ON THIN ICE" Quetzal asks Max and Emy and the young dragons to help him surprise his friend Willie the Snow Seal with a birthday song. Zak and Wheezie are excited about the party but Willy lives in a huge icy cave next to a frozen pond and they don't know how to ice skate! Their friends are happy to help them learn.
