DVD Review: incomplete picture, but lots of interesting footage

the best part of the video is seeing interviews with odb's parents. also his sisters and some other family including ancestry. there is also a fair amount of odb footage that i had never seen before. so i think it is worth buying for those reasons. some of the wu tang interviews are good but a lot of stuff is superfluous. the main problem with the video for me is that it does not give a complete story of odb. there is hardly anything about his childhood apart from the photographs. also, there is hardly any mention of drug or alcohol use. also, we don't really hear what treatment odb was undergoing while in prison. it is just presented like the government was trying to silence odb, which may be true, but i would like to hear from the doctors who treated him or something like that. the video is sort of like a feel-good odb memoir, and it is pretty good overall, but i do not think it is really a five-star documentary. but still worth buying i think.
