DVD Review: Rotten movie. The pits.
Summary: 2 Stars

They took a preachy, hypocritical, incoherent play with bad music and turned it into a a preachy, hypocritical, slightly-more-coherent movie with bad music. The acting is good. However, this is not a comedy as they try to make it appear in advertising. It has little of Medea (Tyler Perry's drag character) in it. Medea is not the mad woman, it is another character. That is what the movie is about so why they have Medea in the artwork in the front makes no sense. They talk Christian values throughout the movie but rarely practice them. It is loud, obnoxious and the boring. The ending of the movie is lifted straight out of "An Officer and a Gentleman".

I just wanted to say that this movie is one that I have had in the past, but after carelessly replaying and moving it from one place to another, it had gotten scratched up!
I am happy to say, that amazon had it, and it was exactly what I was looking for at a better price, a hilarious movie!

Diary of a mad black woman by Tyler Perry is one of my favorite all time movie's. I had a hard time locating the movie to buy in the local stores. I went to Amazon.com and found it right off with a decent price to pay for it. When I need a movie I usually order it from Amazon. I have found several other movies that I bought on amazon.com that I couldn't find no where else. Thanks Amazon

DVD Review: False advertising! This is not a comedy!

After seeing the YouTube scene release that featured Tyler Perry I laughed so hard I had to buy the DVD. The DVD cover would also suggest that the movie is about Tyler Perry's mother character, and he (SHE) is the mad black woman. Unfortunately this movie is only 10% of Tyler Perry's gut busting comedy. The other 90% is a stupid "relationship drama" that wasn't worthy of a movie storyline. The "mad black woman" is actually the young girl.

My husband and I first saw this movie on our satallite TV and loved it.
We definitely wanted to own it! I knew it was an older movie so I thought it would be easy to find in the bargain bin at Wal-mart. No such luck. I checked with several video stores to see if it were for sale. They didn't have it either. I was ready to give up, when someone suggested I try [...]. I got on their site and there it was. I was so excited to be able to puchase it. I also orderd a second copy for my l5 year old granddaughter, when I found out it was also one of her favorite movies.
