DVD Review: Even my kids loved this one
Summary: 5 Stars
This is one of the most inspiring cruising videos I have watched in a long time. Makes me want to get going right now. Unlike the other Pardey programs which are educational, practical and give plenty of good tips about how to outfit a cruising boat or handle heavy weather. This is all about why to go cruising, with some darned practical tips thrown in too. A big part of the program is dedicated to using the skills they gained from cruising to get them out into the wilds of Africa. This is the part my kids loved best. 'But I loved the Irish part and could just sit back and watch the sailing scenes time and again. The Pardey's must have shot an awful lot of film to get the great scenes in this program. They did a great job of editing as the program kept my whole families attention beginning to end. You could critisize a few minutes of the sound track where background noise almost overrides some narrative, but then this is not a Hollywood production, this is the real thing, something I sure hope to do some day.
