DVD Review: A great visual and musical backdrop for the Hoildays!

'Christmas In New York' is a great visual and musical backdrop along the same genre as Winter Wonderland and A Stained Glass Christmas with Heavenly Carols. I usually have these discs playing in the background during family holiday get-togethers.
Christmas In New York is however, the most engaging - often you are drawn to the diverse sights of Rockefeller Center, a white Central Park, New York Botanical Gardens, Times Square, the Empire State Building, the Bronx Zoo, Park Avenue and my fave part of NY - Wall Street :))

Christmas trees, department store windows, miniature displays, toy soldiers and decorated homes from all over New York - all together, make this DVD a most enthralling visual experience! 'Christmas In New York' is a must for your collection. It is certainly one DVD that you would want to watch every holidays!

NOTE: The video quality in this Christmas In New York DVD is sometimes quite soft. (I watched it on a 55 inch using a blu-ray player with the built-in DVD upconversion feature). This DVD is however, such an enthralling visual experience that you may hardly even notice the 'soft spots' in the video! If you are looking for a true Hi Def Christmas documentary then the blu-ray titled Rick Steves' European Christmas is a must have for your collection.
A SUGGESTION: Both these DVDs Christmas In New York, and Radio City Christmas Spectacular Starring The Rockettes make great stocking stuffers. I sent these to friends for the Holidays in lieu of expensive Christmas cards. They all appreciated the gesture!
