I was listening to a radio interview from Washinton DC with writer/film maker Craig Glazer. He said he was also involved in this movie...he wrote a book called King of Sting, being made into a movie and it sounded great. I bought his book,loved it and bought this movie and enjoyed it as well. If you are a boxing fan and I am, this is for you....DVD Review: Could have been better

This is a great item to have if you're a boxing fan. Unfortunately, it really falls short on the biographies, and also...and very important it's missing some of the greatest latin boxing legends. Figures like Wilfredo Benitez, Wilfredo Gomez,Esteban De Jesus. I guess because this dvd was aimed to Mexicans or somebody else but there were a few Puertorican boxers worth mentioning. All in all, not worth having if you are not Mexican.DVD Review: my husband loves it

This is a good video. My husband loves boxing (he is originally from Mexico) and he really enjoyed this video. Nice Attempt At A Tribute To The Latin Legends
This is an interesting, but limited view.
It's good for anyone interested in the Latin Legends - or any boxing fan to watch on a crummy weekend or if you have an hour and a half to kill.
The DVD focuses on Kid Gavilan, Carlos Ortiz, Salvador Sanchez, Alexis Arguello, Julio Cesar Chavez and - one of my personal favorites - Roberto "Hands Of Stone" Duran.
It really is a nice attempt at a tribute - there are some great highlights and bios on these great champs, but it truly falls short.
There is just not enough. It seemed incomplete and unfocused. I wanted more clips and highlights and simply - I wanted more complete information. I expected better and expected more.
As a whole this is a good DVD - not great, but good.

This film shows dazzling highlights from the spectacular careers of Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar Chavez, Alexis Arguello, Carlos Ortiz, Kid Gavilan and the late Salvador Sanchez. These true gladiators fought often and the many clips show their triumphs and occasional defeats. It is said that Latin men fight for God and country. These six men, who came from poverty, are seen as role models because they all stress the importance of hard work, clean living and respect for others.
