DVD Reviews of Bones: The Complete Third SeasonDVD Review: Pleased as punch Summary: 5 StarsWe enjoyed the shows and the commentaries. This is a good value. Having no commercials is awesome.
DVD Review: 4th Season Summary: 3 StarsWhat is happening to Bones? It started out as a murder mystery with very clever tie-ins that only a bone expert could solve. It has now turned into a very strange bed-hopping soap opera where what they show us and what they tell us don't match.
They haven't just thrown out the laws of attraction book they've burned it to a cinder. Now it seems like the murder mystery part of the show is about five minutes and quite frankly the clues are pathetic. The other forty minutes is some weird sex thing that we are actually expected to believe. No mathematician on earth could solve that equation.
The first season of this show was great, but from the first episode of the second season where they had Booth sleep with three different women in a booty call type set up and then to tell us that he and Bones love each other and are meant for each other...Huh??? The android from Star Trek, Data, is warmer and cuddlier than Bones. I'm sorry but no human being is that much of a robot.
Then there is the mind-bogglingly confused Angela. I used to like her character now when I see her coming I think well she's done men and women what's next plants and animals. Personally, I'm voting for her next threesome to be with a hydrangea bush and a goat. Of course, after one week with them she'll be bored and confused and maybe then she will move on to fruit and furniture, I'm voting for a kiwi and an umbrella stand. What will come after that machinery and a marshmallow? I think she should booty call a bulldozer since that is what the romance writing on this show is doing. Her first booty call was with Hodgens and wasn't that romantic. Neither one of them so much as gave the other one a side long glance for two seconds, they just both popped up out of the sheets like killroy.
Those writers have murdered any chance I had of believing that any of those people could ever have an edge-of-your-seat romance where anyone could be dying for them to get together or actually have any chance at all of them staying together past a one-night stand.
Why don't they set Booth up with Angela's umbrella stand it would be more fulfilling.
This show should really, really back off from the romance writing, because it's not your thing. Only somebody drunk, high, and brain dead would actually believe it.
Even if you could get Bones to stop spewing the encyclopedia in an excessively analytical manner, I still think it is too late to convince us now that she and Booth could be a heart-throbbing item.
The best part of that show any more is when the boss lady has to deal with the strange newbies who are there to take the serial killer's place.
The writers have been TELLING not SHOWING us love. Also what they tell and what they show don't match. Bringing in two psychologists to tell us that Booth and Bones love each other isn't convincing my eyes one bit. Seriously folks, writing romance isn't your thing, give it up. Murder mystery that's you, by the way, you are better than finding a clue of a hair on a tire tread dry and waiting for you after the vehicle has been driven around for days.
DVD Review: Another great season Summary: 5 StarsAnother great season of Bones, Season 3 just continues what is an interesting, funny and all round fantastic show.
DVD Review: Bones Summary: 5 StarsBones is a really cool show. The interactions of the characters is great and you can relate to some of it as real. The 2 main people (Bones & Booth) are fantastic and you can see so much going on between them (even things they won't admit to themselves). This is just a really great show and I love the new angle to solving crimes.
DVD Review: Good Buy Summary: 5 StarsSeason 3 of Bones was Great! It came to us pretty fast considering we're overseas and it was just as good as the first 2 seasons.
