DVD Review: Best Bob Marley video EVER - a must buy for any reggae fan!

I own five or six Bob Marley dvds, and they all have shoddy audio and video workmanship...which really takes away from the excellent performances. This video is absolutely top notch; the audio and video qualities are excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates reggae music. This video looks as if it was produced a couple of years ago, and that's saying a lot - when you consider how old this performance is. This is one of my favorite videos, and it's a mainstay in my weekend rotation. Buy this one...you will truly be impressed. DVD Review: Great Bob Marley film

This is the best, Marley, is captivating, you can't take your eyes off him. His dancing takes your breath away in, Lively up Yourself, Heathen and Get Up, Stand Up, the guy never misses a beat. The whole band takes your breath away. It is amazing the incredible sound. Rita,Judy and Marcia are very classy and I like the fact that they are dressed nicely unlike the female performers of today who are void of talent and use sex to sell records.
I wish the dvd was longer!
DVD Review: Nobody seems to mention "No woman, no cry" for this DVD

That is a shame because in my opinion "No woman, no cry" is performed in a fantastic way here, gives me plenty of goosepumps every time. An absolutely stunning performance, especially the sequence about 3 minutes and 20 seconds into the number when the pace changes and it just takes off completely, totally electrifying! No wonder the audience can be heard cheering in the background.DVD Review: Excellent concert

Description of Bob Marley and the Wailers Live at the Rainbow
Studio: Uni Dist Corp (music) Release Date: 11/15/2005On June 2, 1977, London's Rainbow Theatre "caught fire"--in the best possible way, of course. At the time, Bob Marley and the Wailers, already huge in the UK, were on tour in support of the locally produced Exodus. While the show starts off with the slow-burning "Trenchtown Rock" (1973's African Herbsman), Marley's performance grows increasingly incendiary until, by the time they get to the climactic closer, "Exodus," it looks as he's in another world entirely. The turning point is an extended version of "Crazy Baldhead" (1976's Rastaman Vibration), in which Marley seemingly enters a trance, performing primarily with eyes closed. By the late-1970s, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer were long gone, making the electrifying Marley more the focus than ever before (and for the first few songs, the rest of the band is barely visible). Other highlights includes "Lively Up Yourself" (1974's Natty Dread), in which Julian "Junior" Marvin throws some Hendrix-style moves into the mix, and "Get Up, Stand Up" (1973's Burnin'), in which the audience echoes Marley's words, as lost in the moment as the man on the stage. This two-disc set includes the 1984 BBC documentary Caribbean Nights (AKA The Bob Marley Story). It features performance excerpts ("Slave Driver" from 1972, "Stir It Up" and "Rastaman Chant" from 1973, "Bad Card" from 1980, etc.), and interviews with Tosh, Joe Higgs, Chris Blackwell, Judy Mowatt, wife Rita Marley, and mother Cedella Booker. --Kathleen C.
