My 2 year old already loves Blues Clues but this one, he is glued to for the entire run time of the DVD. He already knows all shapes and colors but this has so many more ways for him to really learn more about them. This video is a must for any child 1-3. I love hearing him repeat every shape and color back to the tv. I bought this one with the Alphabet Power and what a pair of awesome DVD's. I had already loved Blues Clues with my 13 year old twins when they were his age but I love it even more now. I know they are older shows but this one really seems to get my lil guys attention and is really broadening his color and shape recognition and skills. The price was awesome too! I woudl absolutely recommend this to anyone with a child 1-3 years old! Makes a great gift too!DVD Review: Much better than Baby Einstein

While Blues Clues are geared for more pre-school aged kids, my 2- and 1-year-old find them enthralling. I'd rather they watch things above their level than below, like Baby Einstein products. (Very disappointed with those, but that's another story...). Very educational and they try to encourage active feedback from the kids as they watch.
I will definatly be getting more of these DVDs for my kids.
Highly recommended.

Description of Blue's Clues - Shapes And Colors
Movie DVDJoe and his friend Blue tackle the preschool basics of circles, rectangles, even trapezoids while sorting through Blue's hints as to where she would like most to see more shapes in "Shape Searchers." If the clues cash register, cart, and food don't add up for you, the kid chorus will help you out. The second episode finds the pair in their backyard making a "portrait of pals," a painting of their many-colored friends. But they only have primary colors, so in order to paint Orange Kitten, for instance, they have to mix red and yellow. Joe makes the most of this opportunity for a color lesson with the assistance of Shovel, who turns out to be a superb artist without the help of a brush. Who knew? (Ages 2 to 6) --Kimberly Heinrichs
