Let me start by saying that I am a huge Tae-bo fan and have been doing Tae-bo for the better part of 10 years. However, I have to be honest. All of Billy's subsequent videos (Boot Camp, Foundation and Energy, etc.) are essentially repackaged Taebo moves with not much new. Sure, he's added resistance bands and the like to some of his workouts, but the moves are the same. That said, this Funk video was a total joke. First of all, the so called "latest hip hop moves" are NOT the latest. In fact, most of the moves are from the 80s and 90s. (At one point, one of the guys pops and locks which is break dancing. Billy's daughter did the running man, which is from the MC Hammer era.) I was hoping that Taebo would be merged with some of the hottest dances over the last couple of years, such as the souljah boy. Well, I was sorely disappointed. AND there is no hip hop music in this so called hip hop workout--just his usual hokey soundtrack that sounds like it is also from the 80s. The funny thing is Billy was really getting into to and at one point, he ripped off his shirt to show how to work the abs. He also keep saying, "Terminator--Arnold Swhargenner." I know I spelled that wrong, but the point is this--the Terminator was cool a LONG TIME AGO. It was weird. He kind of reminded me of my dad or one of my uncles trying to be cool. Like them, Billy just dates himself! Do not order this DVD if you are expecting it to be like some of the other hip hop workouts on the market. It's the same taebo with some breakdancing moves...LOL.
