When I purchased this set, I was hoping for a challenging cardio work out. I found that I was frustrated with different parts of all 3 DVDs.
The first one goes very slow and was not a challenge at all. I didn't even break a sweat.
The second DVD was frustrating for a couple of reasons: 1. The resistance bands are awkward with some of the moves. I found they would flip around and were more annoying than anything so I used weights instead. 2. The weight bearing exercises aren't deep enough, and they're too fast. Since the moves were too fast they caused me to feel strain, not strengthening. I didn't pull anything, but I was sore, like I hurt a muscle in my back, not like I had a good work out.
I ALMOST gave the 3rd DVD a thumbs up until he didn't complete some of the oblique sets on both sides! I had to rewind the DVD to the spot that he skipped to add the exercises that he missed.
Overall I was frustrated with all of the DVD's and found that they weren't quite the cardio workout that I expected.
Needless to say, I promptly returned this set to the store where I bought it for a refund. Instead, I bought the Jari Love Ripped 1000, Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and The Biggest Loser Workout: Cardio Max. Hope those workouts are better!

I own numerous videos of Billy Blanks & every time a new video comes out I'm a little apprehensive about buying it, since I figure it'll be the same old thing (although they are great!). However, Billy never ceases to amaze me! Billy Blanks - All new Tae Bo Camp Elite is truly phenomenal! All three of his new videos are terrific. New moves, new challenges & discovering the muscles you never knew you had...The first two videos last about 45 minutes, the second one starts using the bands which are phenomenal on your upper-body! The last DVD focuses predominantly on abs - which lasts about 30 min. I'm extremely happy & satisfied with the Tae Bo Boot Camp Elite - it's a phenomenal workout you can accomplish w/out leaving your house on a rainy day!

DVD Review: GREAT FOR EVERYONE

I bought this set after trying out the orignal Bootcamp Basic Training that I got from a friend. The workouts are okay. I will be honest though - some workouts I find to be very uncomfortable and even impossible because of the positioning of the bands. If not done properly you can really hurt yourself.
I reccommend you use hand weights for certain exercises...either 21b or 3lb or whatever weight that challenges you. And according to the exercises you're doing u may need ankle weights also. But please choose weights that you are comfortable with. Besides that, it's a good workout. It does target different parts of the body and it does make you sweat like crazy. Will reccommend you buy it.
If you can work the bands well fine, but if not use free weights. I use both. It's up to you to know which workouts you want to use the free weights with.

I was shocked to see such negative responses for this video. I have done Tae bo in the past, and was thrilled with his Boot Camp video. I use 3 pound free weights because I do not yet have the bands. My arms were toned in a matter of weeks! Billy is motivating, inspirational, and fun! I also think it's good to see the people on set struggle. It shows you it's NOT as easy as it sometimes looks. I have seen much improvement in my body because of Billy and Shellie. I love boot camp!
