DVD Review: A Great Sci-Fi Opera Action Drama Series Second Only To Star Wars
Summary: 5 Stars
Being a big fan of most sci-fi series or movies brought me to this series, becoming somewhat disenchanted with the Star Trek universe I stuck with the Star Wars side and after seeing this series when it first aired on t.v. became an instant fan of the series. The main storylines were great and actually most of them preceded from the first season all the way to the final season showing a grand view ability to keep the story concept intact from start to finish. All the cast were great with Michael O'Hare as Commander Sinclair, Jerry Doyle as security chief Michael Garibaldi, Richard Biggs(R.I.P.) as station doctor Stephen Franklin, Claudia Christian as Commander Susan Ivanova, Bruce Boxleitner as the Commander John Sheridan of B5 in season 2, Peter Jurasik as Londo Mollari the Centauri ambassador, Stephen Furst as Londo's Centauri attache, Andreas Katsulas(R.I.P.) as Narn ambassador G'Kar, Mira Fulan as the Minbari ambassador Delen , and Bill Mummy as Delen's Minbari attache Lennier. The series though not as widely known at the time as Star Trek grew throughout the years to become a renown sci-fi classic that actually has surpassed most of the star trek series franchise now. The last season shows us the growth of the interstellar alliance as well as a dark conspiracy in the shadows that grows from the choices that a few of the characters have made through the series that now comes back to haunt them, and finally we see the destines of the characters later on down the road as they come together again to pay homage to one of their own in a final farewell. The series is a definite must have for any sci-fi fan out there and for this price a great bargain too....
