DVD Reviews of Another Gay Sequel- Uncut Theatrical VersionDVD Review: WHAT THE *censored" IS THIS??? Summary: 2 Stars
Oh my goodness, where to begin!?
I seriously think whoever wrote this script must have been either brain-damaged or related to a chimpanzee.
I felt incredibly disappointed after watching this film, for many reasons.
The main one being my fantasy of the "Another Gay Movie" franchise becoming such a hit with young audiences, it would even attract straight kids into the movies (regardless of the movie title) thus breaking new ground with the general audience...and that fantasy then being kicked in the throat, punched in the stomach and finished off with a wedgie.
Jonah Blechman was endearing as Nico, and was one of the few actors (or was it the only one) who actually got me to laugh out loud.
He's very talented as an actor/director/choreographer etc.
Ru Paul was funny in the fairly small part he was given, and made the best out of what he was given.
The three new actors portraying Andy, Griff and Jarod were surprisingly pleasant to watch, and the friendship between them and Nico wasn't as artificial as I thought it would be when I first found out about the cast change.
The actors playing the "Jaspers" were decent, considering the 'limited acting range needed' roles they were given...they managed to make the characters stand out amongst the leading actors.
Euriamis Losada who played Luis is a good enough actor for you to even find his sometimes incoherent thick accent charming...but what was a a virgin doing at a "Gays Gone Wild" contest where the goal is to have intercourse with anything that moves!?
To find true love?
& why did Ashlie Atkinson who plays "Muffler" only show up for a brief second at the beginning of the film?
She was one of the most likable characters in the first film!
Sadly, these actors weren't enough to save this train wreck.
From the questionable casting of some other "actors" to the massive offense to humanity known as the script, it all made you quickly forget about the movies minor positive points.
I'll only address one point (out of the entire 879 negative points).
Perez Hilton should not have been cast in this film, period!
His role should have been given to Jim Verraros, who actually has some acting ability, has much more appeal on-screen and who could also play the role of himself as he's also a celebrity in real life.
But he was robbed and given a minor part.
Instead other bigger roles were given to gay pornstars...yep...let me spell that out for you...P-O-R-N-S-T-A-R-S!!!
Yeah, by now you must be thinking what I'm thinking...the makers of this film most likely lost a bet and were given the mission to make the 'worst movie of all time'...OR...they were given large quantities of crystal-meth and were given the mission to make the 'best movie of all time'!
I mean damn, at least get Chris Crocker, who would have cost much less and would have been a thousand times more entertaining than Perez.
Seriously though, whoever is responsible for this film should be banned from being involved in any film production in any part of the world, for life!
Anyhow, the film ends with a spoiler of the third installment by telling the by now traumatized or half asleep viewer, that it will take place in outer space!
Yeah, I think I speak for the entire LGBT community when I say to the writers of this film...there is help for those who are battling addiction, please find a rehab facility in your area, you shouldn't have to suffer one second longer...and neither should we!
