DVD Reviews of America: Freedom to Fascism

DVD Review: It begins.
Summary: 5 Stars

I was reading these Republic Magazines and read an obituary for Aaron Russo and hear about his film from a couple years ago.

The movie starts investigating the legality of the IRS and the income tax. The move progresses to talk about the federal reserve, the National ID, RFID chips, and finishes with talk about the North American Union / the New World Order. There is also a great little interview with Ron Paul, and small snippets of him throughout the movie.

I didn't realize this was a borderline conspiracy theory movie until it was about halfway through. Though I was thinking the whole time, is this really conspiracy theory is it is really how things are? If it's a legal fact, why do people downplay some of this stuff as conspiracy theory? I understand that some of the stuff Aaron talks about is taken out of context and put to an alarmist extreme. I understand the man is just trying to sell a movie. Though some of the stuff is undeniable true to law and fact.

I think the root to the problem is that our government has become to far reaching. Our government has gotten so big and imposing that the citizen are slowly giving up rights and liberties because "it's not worth the fight", or "it's worthless". If the government did implement a Real ID not many people would be able to protest. For the same reason the people are unable to protest the IRS correctly. If you refuse to pay income because their is no law, the government will arrest you and say there is a law but they can't show you... If You didn't get the national ID you might not be able to get a job. You would have to get a job illegally and when you get caught you would be arrested. If the Real ID took over the driver's license you wouldn't be able to drive. I'm convenience there are a lot of liberty loving people growing in this country, but not many liberty loving people hardcore enough about their rights to give up driving. This same Real ID design could be set up with GPS tracking/GPS check points. That just makes me shiver and think about the beginning of Half life 2, changing district could become a problem.

I started think about the difference between the Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians when it comes to fear. The Republicans fear the mob of unemployed, ethnic, gay, atheist, pro-choice heathens will demand change and their money for nothing. Democrats fear the greedy, uneducated, uncharitable, gun totting, bible thumping, "haves" will take away their programs and not donate to the rest of the world. All the while the Libertarians are sitting at the sideline fearing what new liberty is being limited or even taken away with the process of this political fear fest. If the republicans finally get their way and no one can be gay everyone loses a freedom of expression. If the Democrats get the right to tax upwards of 50% of our money for communal collectivism we lose the right to our hard earned money. We become slaves to the state through tax. The more Republican and Democratic law that is passed the more liberty's we lose no matter what side you choose. How many liberties do we have to lose before enough people defect from the two to make the libertarian party look better than a fringe group of terrorists (called so by the government)?

DVD Review: Poorly made, very inaccurate
Summary: 1 Stars

I was told this documentary would change the way I thought...however I thought Mr. Russo did not provide enough evidence for his points...I later learned that there was NO evidence to his points!

the first five minutes have huge inaccuracies!

Woodrow Wilson's quote- is infact a misqoute...there is no record of his "I am a most unhappy man" anywhere!

The Federal Reserve Act was actually passed during normal Congress session, and the majority of senators showed up, actually if all the absentees came and voted no it would have still passed!

No court justice declared that the Income Tax ammendment was not ratified. the judge who made that statement was actually presiding over a case over Iraq troop deployment, and stated that although some states did not ratify the ammendment it is still a part of the constitution, in other words its valid!

I was also flabbergasted when mr. Russo claimed there were no laws on Income Taxes, when the IRS makes it perfectly clear that there is. Internal Revenue code was enacted by congress in the 1920's its a legitimate law!

He also lists supreme court cases in the 30s, and 40s that declare the tax unconstitutional but he doesn't list the many cases in the 50s, 60s and 70s that overturned that precedent and declared yes the income tax is infact constitutional!

I'm not saying the IRS and Fed system are perfect, they probably are corrupt and not working in the best interest of the american people, but Aaron Russo does a terrible job researching this.

Do your research people, don't accept this mans work at face value, otherwise you'll look like a fool when the real facts come out!

DVD Review: good book
Summary: 4 Stars

Everyone concerned with the way this country is headed should read this book. A real eye-opener.

DVD Review: It will make you so mad... you'll want to buy in bulk.
Summary: 5 Stars

Death and taxes. If you look on the IRS website, under the history or about us page they were forced to state the truth:

"The roots of IRS go back to the Civil War when President Lincoln and Congress, in 1862, created the position of commissioner of Internal Revenue and enacted an income tax to pay war expenses. The income tax was repealed 10 years later. Congress revived the income tax in 1894, but the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional the following year."

What I found even more interesting after watching the movie and telling others about it was the fact that it was posted on [...] for the world to see by the publisher/producer AND [...]REMOVED IT! Well after a million views watching the video it was lost. At this point it is now republished and the word is spreading.

This movie - even more importantly - introduced me to the true facts of how are government works. Do you ever wonder how we can constantly afford government program after program? Or have a huge deficit under Bush Jr. and still afford a War we conjured up and pass a massive Pharmaceutical Bill? The other party is no better with breaking promises with raising taxes on whom he concretely stated he would not to pass a Health care Bill of 2-3 Trillion (don't believe the low ball estimates just like the Pharmaceutical Bill). It all is a moot point - the government doesn't have the authority to tax on income because then they control not only the economy but everyone of its citizens, voting is a myth.

The most important point the movie introduces other than income tax is:

The Federal Reserve literally prints money and sells treasuries while artificially mandating a "reserve" banks must keep on deposit and the different between the prime and fed fund rate always being 3%. No matter who is in office - Democrat or Republican - the Federal Reserve makes trillions of dollars. The Federal Reserve is a private company which like other banks it owns others as well. I hope H 1207 or S 604 pass so we can find out what exactly they own and what they are doing with our money. If you are interested in the fraud's of the federal reserve and how the star of it, Chairman, always agrees with what is politically correct you should read of some Ravi Batra's books.

DVD Review: I had no idea how good this video would be
Summary: 5 Stars

Some years ago, when I wore a younger man's clothes, I challenged the IRS to show me that I was a person required to file an income tax return. I knew we didn't have any real money to be taxed, and that I never made any profits or gains (aka income) from working as an employee. I used FOIA. I sent letters. I did everything I could think of to get the IRS to open up. All to no avail. I failed in my quest of five years. They never responded.

Now I'm older and wiser (QED) and when I watched this film it was d?j? vu. The IRS still practices unlawful tactics and still uses threats and duress on innocent Americans. After the IRS, the film moves on into my least favorite non-branch of the federal government - the Federal Reserve Bank, and I am really freaked out - it's all there. Unbelievable!

If you're not into conspiracy theories, and trust your friendly federal government, and like your local banker, you have a choice of two pills - the red pill or the blue pill.

"This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes..."

Learn about how your government really works from people who have actually been there and who want you to know. Take the red pill - watch the film. It will change your life.

Description of America: Freedom to Fascism

Controversial and throught-provoking are two words that describe one of the most talked-about documentaries of 2006.

Determined to find the law that requries American citizens to pay income tax, producer Aaron Russo (Bette Midler'sThe Rose, Trading Places) set out on a journey to find the evidence.

Neither left nor right-wing, this startling examination of government exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created. Through interviews with two U.S. Congressmen, former IRS Commissioner and former IRS and FBI agents, tax attorneys and authors, Russo connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card, which becomes law in May 2008 and will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Could this be a precursor to an impending police state in America? Watch the film and make your own conclusions.
