All in the Family is one of my favorite classic TV shows. Can you imagine the sitcoms of today dealing with very sensitive subjects, like race, politics or women issues? Never happen. With the addition of neighbors Frank and Irene Lorenzo the show was given a much needed spark to keep the series fresh.
I don't believe one of the reviewers who say that Archie's beliefs were outdated in the 1970's. But, I do agree that All in the family made television grow up while still making the audience laugh and care. That's the bottom line. Classic TV.
