I am a teacher. We read the book Stormbreaker and then watched the movie. The kids enjoyed it and easily overlooked the mediocre acting, special effects, etc. Overall, it was worth the purchase.DVD Review: Sequels will be better

I am a teen who is an avid reader of Horowitz's Alex Rider series. Read all of the books at least 3 times.
I was presently surprised with this movie. I thought at first it was gonna be another Cody Banks ( i really disliked that movie - too corny) but the new Alex is the man. He is sleek and very much like the Alex in the book. All of the characters were great. I was disappointed with Blunt a little bittle....he was to "out in space" for me. However he was like that in the book, but it was overkill in the movie. Stunts were AMAZING!!! should have been more cusses....Alex cusses alot.
I DID NOT like how the movie ruined the ending. Sabina DID NOT take part in ANYTHING in the book at the end. She does not find out his involvement with MI6 until the 3rd or 4th book, I forget. She was mysterious and beautiful, just how Alex likes her.
The very end with Yassen was perfect, but I was just digusted with how the whole scene on the building went down.
The Sequels will be much better and i recommend READING ALL OF THE BOOKS

Spykids seems to be a mass media type of action toy and computer game industry.
I kind of wish that they had somebody with more imagination writing these
movie scripts. The stunts were good and the acting was better than the American special effects versions, but the plot was so predictable that it was really boring? I was going "same old same old" by the middle of the movie?

A great film and great actor to play the part. Some of the acting was second rate, but alex himself was a great actor.
The film was not the same as the book, but some of the scenes amazing. I was suprised it was not bigger than it was. It was awesome.
