DVD Review: Very Disappointed

I am very particular about only buying wide screen movies because I believe in watching the movies as the director intended them to be seen. While I love both these movies I have to give this particular product a one star review because of the packaging. It leads you to believe that both the full screen and wide screen versions of the film are included but they are not. It is only the full screen. I guess I will just have to give this away to my nieces who don't care about watching movies in wide screen since stores no longer accept returns on DVDs that have been opened. DVD Review: Beware! My daughter and I fell in love with A Little Princess which was on VHS at the service center where we brought our car for a fix. We didn't get to see the whole thing, so we absolutely had to get the DVD. I was thrilled to see the option of the double feature with The Secret Garden at a great price. I purchased two copies of this double feature. One for home and one for a gift. I should have known the price was too good to be true! When I opened my disk I found an unmarked disk -- unusual, no graphics on the disk. When I got to the menu there was no option to play The Secret Garden. We have tried everything and this second movie just can't be found on the disk. We tried fast forwarding all the way through the last scene of A Little Princess to see if The Secret Garden was tacked at the end. No luck.
I wondered if mine was just a freak disk, so I opened the second disk that I purchased as a gift -- same problem! We've tried both disks on two different computers and two different DVD players with no luck. I'd go with the more pricey option of purchasing these as two separate movies.

I was first initially looking for the Secret Garden, a movie I grew up with as a kid, when I came across this "double feature" I got particularly excited. When it came I realized that it was just one disc with one movie to each side (that would explain the great price) Only down side is that I have to make sure I only touch the corners and I can't just set it down any old place, but excellent quality and two movies still less than the price of one... These are the most delightful films that are totally perfect for children from5 years and up. My children loved them and are now keen to read the books too. As an adult (who read these when she was a little girl) I loved them and cried at both of them...wonderful family stuff.
