DVD Review: Pleasantly surprised

I have been listening to the CD of Seven Worlds Collide for the last few months and love many of the tracks. When I learned that there was a video, I was excited and nervous. I don't always like concert videos because some of them go overboard with added in effects and extra stuff which, for me, take away from the actual music. I was pleasantly surprised when I first watched this video. It is simple but showcases the feeling of the concert wonderfully. I also enjoyed hearing the other songs that were played at the concert but weren't included on the CD. DVD Review: o.k. dvd

I am addicted to this DVD. I just wish that they sold ALL of the songs from this DVD in CD format, so I could listen to them in the car.
The songs and the musicians are beautiful and genuine, and Eddie Vedder singing "Stuff and Nonsense" ...... heavens.
I didn't know Neil Finn too well before this DVD, but now I have a great deal of respect and appreciation for him.

Great! Great stuff! Would recommend to any Finn fan. Have seen live during the Crowded House days and in recent years(twice in NYC). Neil Finn's live performance is just as hauntingly melodic today as in the 80's. His songwritting is simply timeless. One of the most consistant artists I've ever had the pleasure to see live. If you have had the chance to see live this DVD will bring you right back to the show. Don't know where the mix of artists captured here came from, but it just flows. My short and sweet review for this item is this: If you can't see Neil Finn live in concert, then at least you can buy this dvd and pretend you were there. Great songs, great performers -- great show. I bought one for myself and one for a gift. I wish Neil would tour in the states more often - the Finn brothers are so great in concert :)
